Pacific Highlands Ranch Park San Diego

We visited this park in April 2019 – read about it here!

San Diego’s newest park is Pacific Highlands Ranch Community Park in Carmel Valley!

The new multi-purpose park has a five-acre turf field, two dog parks, skate plaza, free public parkour area and bike pump track. It also has a children’s playground and discovery play area.

The new 17,000 square-foot recreation center offers a gymnasium, a multi-purpose building and an outdoor courtyard.

“Every neighborhood in San Diego deserves a great community park,” San Diego Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer said.

This public-private partnership marks the 23rd park to open as part of Mayor Faulconer’s pledge to build or improve 50 parks in five years. An additional 32 parks are in various stages of design and construction. Master developer Pardee Homes oversaw the development of Pacific Highlands Ranch Community Park as part of an agreement with the City. The park features reflect the feedback provided by residents during the collaborative design process.

The new park is open to the public will be maintained and operated by the City. Here’s more information.
