Super COOL Playground

The playground at Mast Park in Santee is COOL. There is a tot lot for children 2-5 that is shaded and bark. It has a couple of small slides and fun things to climb. There is also a baby swing (it’s with the other swings nearby).

The playground for big kids (ages 5-12), has LOTS to climb and a three-story tunnel slide!

WARNING: we went in February but it was a hot day (85 degrees)… one of the slides in the big kid area got HOT. Encourage your child to touch the slide with his/her hand before sliding down.

Nature Discover Area

Just as you enter the park (near the bathrooms) is a Nature Play Area at Mast Park. It is so fun! My daughter liked it as much as the playground. It has a large tree trunk and several rocks and stumps for jumping and exploring.

Drinking Fountains

The drinking fountains at Mast Park are pretty cool… there are two traditional spigots, AND ALSO a spot to fill a water bottle or cup in the middle!

Gazebos

The three gazebos at Mast Park would all be great for a birthday party or event!

Large Gazebo at Mast Park

The large gazebo has 7 tables, one reserved parking space, large barbecues and a space for a jump house. It’s closest to the restrooms, but is a bit far from the playground.

Medium Gazebo

The smaller gazebo at Mast Park has 4 picnic tables and a barbecue. It is closest to the playground, but a walk to the bathrooms. There is space for a jump house too!

Picnic Area at Mast Park

The picnic area also has 4 tables (that are more spread out) and is right next to the playground.

Bathrooms

Mast Park has one restroom building with men’s/women’s restrooms, and an all-gender restroom with changing station on the side of the building.

Dog Parks at Mast Park

You can bring your dog to Mast Park because it has THREE designated areas: one for large dogs (over 30 lbs), one for small dogs (under 30lbs) and one for PUPPIES! What a great way to get some safe socialization in 🙂 There is some agility equipment too.

Basketball Court

The full-court basketball court at Mast Park looks great! The lights have an on-demand timer daily, dusk until 10:00 pm.
